It was almost an after-thought to order the book along with several others from a supplier that I use for marketplace material. I am currently going through your CHURCHSHIFT study and it has transformed my mind, challenged me, and compelled me to come to my Father in repentance for being church-minded instead of kingdom-minded. Your book has revolutionized my way of thinking and "doing ministry". It has challenged me to focus on my city instead of "housekeeping duties" within my church. I am thankful that the Lord has brought CHURCHSHIFT's truths to my attention and am striving to work these principles into my life. I have a desire in my heart to plant an after school center for children of impoverished single parents. Out of the 10% of the population of Colorado Springs that are in poverty, most of these are single parents with children under 18 years of age. I would like to provide a safe place for elementary-aged children to come to receive after school care, tutoring, nurturing and mentoring at little or no cost. I would also like to offer counseling in various areas for the parent including financial counseling, spiritual counseling, trauma, abuse, etc. This is the area of society that I would like to subdue with kingdom principles, my promised land! ...
